St Michael's Parish Church and its History
The Parish Church of North Waltham is St Michael’s, on the south side of the village. There has been Christian worship in The present building dates back to 1865 when it was rebuilt following collapse in about 1850. However, it contains enough original masonry to show the development of the building through the Norman and Gothic periods. St Michael's ServicesRegular church services are held at St Michael's Church as follows: 1st Sunday – 9am Said Communion followed by a 10am Informal Family Service including activities for children and involving the ‘Seekers’ group and Toddler Church. 3rd Sunday - 9.45am Family Communion Service 2nd & 4th Sundays – 9am Sung Communion There are some variations and additional services for the major religious festivals, which are announced in the Church and in the Parish Magazine.

St Michael's Parish MagazineAll information about St Michael’s activities are announced and reported in the monthly Parish Magazine, which is organised by the church and covers church and non-church events throughout the whole Benefice. This is distributed throughout the village and also has a number of non-resident subscribers. Why don't you write something for the Parish Magazine? If you would like to put something in the Parish Magazine please email it, preferably as a Word attachment, to parish.magazine@hotmail.com. You can also write it on paper or put it on a disk and deliver or post it to Pip Hartley at Church Cottage, Church Road, North Waltham, RG25 2BL - please include your phone number in case of a query. Friends of St Michael'sFor many years St Michael’s has raised funds to assist with the maintenance of the building through a monthly prize draw. For a small annual entrance fee of £20 names are included in monthly draws. Pro-rata rates are available for those joining mid-year. It is also possible to support the church through Gift Aid - for details contact the Rector. The winners are detailed each month in the Parish Magazine.
