Corndell

Corndell green
Corndell, at the north of the village is a registered common and has been used as a village green for many years.

Considerable effort was made in upgrading the green in the late 1970s when replacement trees were planted.

The green provides an attractive entrance to the village when approaching from the north.

Cuckoo Meadow

Cuckoo Meadow

Cuckoo Meadow was originally a field given to the village by former villager and landowner William Rathbone in 1953.

It is a well-maintained, attractive, tranquil area in the heart of the village surrounded by residential development and adjacent to the school.

It is run on behalf of the village by the North Waltham Village Trust and is the focus for village leisure activities with a sports ground, tennis court, children’s play area and Rathbone Pavilion.
